This was shot on the night of September 23rd starting around sunset and continuing until sunrise the morning of the 24th. We wanted to share this and say thank you for all the support over the last year as the Alaska Aurora Cam officially turns 1 year old today. You guys are awesome!!!!
Technical Details: The camera takes one image ever 30 seconds utilizing a partially automated mode with most settings being manually configured. To make the most of hard drive space, the images are put out in jpg format and are just high enough resolution for 1080p video. They are then stitched together at 15 frames per second for this video. So the time that you witness pass is as follows. 1 second of video = 7.5 minutes of time passing.September 23rd - Alaska Aurora Cam
